Aconitum Balfourii is found in the flowers valley Uttarakhand. This flower is referred to as’ Meetha Vish.’ The plant is found at altitudes between 2800 m and 4200 m in the temperate alpine ravines in the Himalayas and also with the Rhododendron group. Aconitum Balfourii is a 1 m tall erect herb. There are tuberous roots. The color of the flowers is violet. Most of the top sepal is in the shape of a helmet. All sepals and petals have a total of 5. There are many hairy filaments stamens.For five carpels, the flowers are bluish-violet.The fruit is an achene for 16–25 seeds and is in shape obpyramidal. Flowering and fruiting take place between September and November.
